One thing that I've been doing recently is looking at for sale businesses or recently sold businesses across the country that have sold for 6, 7, and 8 figure amounts, then doing some research to see how well they would fit in my local area (these are mostly service/local based businesses, not e-commerce or companies that heavily rely on online revenue).
