Things can get better. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is on land that was once considered one of the 3-4 most toxic places in America. It was cleaned up and made into a wildlife refuge. Testing seems to show that the animals are toxin free and the cleanup has been successful.
