A handy rule of thumb I liked from Perry Marshall's book "80/20 Sales and Marketing" was that:

"20 percent of the people will spend 4 times the money "
(page 93)

(He also worked out that the 80/20 “Rule” says 4 percent of the people will spend 16 times the money.)​
