About to graduate, do further studies or jump into the business?

I would like to share my experience with you guys and see your opinions.

I am about to finish my IT degree and my supervisor asked me if I want to go further and do PhD in the IT industry.

I did say to him that I would like to build a business instead, so I can make a bigger impact in people lives. Nevertheless, both research and business can make an impact. I understand.
