Some guidance on which online RE school to take? (CA)

Hey guys,

I recently decided I want to go at this and give it my best shot, I would appreciate a little guidance in getting started, my first question is which school would one recommend, the best i can seem to find is kaplan and allied, is one better than the other?

Which elective course did you guys find most helpful? And any tips for an absolute beginner? Any guidance much appreciated :)

PS: if any of you have any ebooks you can share or recommend, please let me know thanks :)

Selling on Amazon? Amazon Vendors are vastly different than Amazon Sellers.

Amazon Vendors are vastly different than Amazon Sellers.
It is estimated that over 75% of US consumers shop on Amazon.com
If you want your product to be seen and purchased by the US market, Amazon is clearly the best way to do this.
There are 2 vastly different accounts you can have with to sell your product on Amazon.
Without going into a lot of detail about each account I will just highlight the most important differences.

Chicago Meet Up...

The weather is getting better, does anyone want to try to get a meet up going for the Chicago leg of the Fastlane Forum?

I live in the actual city of Chicago- but I'm mobile.

My schedule is somewhat flexible. If so, post here or message me.

Merry Christmas, Fastlane.

In 2017, @Ubermensch will "go public."

Until recently, I've always been a live and work "in the shadows" type of guy. Next year, this will all change in rather dramatic fashion.

Part of this "blow up" will include a significant presence on social media, which means growing my Instagram account past its small state now.

Add me, and let's talk money: @whealthandpower or...

Need advice

Hello
Please share your advice. I am an independent inventor with an issued patent. I have an informative website including a contact page. While viewing site Analytics I can only see Internet provider information with the exception of a few assumed "self served", which brings me to my dilemma. I receive many repeat visitors from a couple of conglomerate companies. I am very interested in selling or licensing my patent. As I mentioned I do have a contact page on the website and there have...

Minnesota mastermind group

This is not the same as my other Minnesota meetup, this is an attempt at a more formal group. Everyone is welcome.

When: Tentatively planning for Wednesday June 22, to repeat (bi-weekly/monthly)

Where: TBA -- somewhere central to the twin cities...

Found A Place to BUILD

Hello Fastlane!

My name is Shaun, I am 30 from Cleveland, OH. I reside in GA. Yesterday, I was given the book the Millionaire FASTLANE and for some reason I could not put it down. I am in a unique position because I am what you call a Sidewalker although I believe there are 3 stages to that effect. Meaning, I graduated H.S, enrolled in college, took a few courses and dropped out. There were little direction in my life coming from a broken home and parents that were oblivious to money...

Do it yourself video marketing?

Has DIY Video Marketing Worked For You?

That question will be answered shortly. But here's a little backstory about the topic...

Last year, I joined a Facebook group where each member had to record a video a day for 90 days. It could be on anything. After completing the challenge, I got comfortable with doing video and ended up doing a total of 100-ish. The engagement was good. People outside of the group liked my material. And it may or may not have helped people out in the long...

Weekly Design Challenge.

To all the Designers and anyone who is learning illustrator/Photoshop on FLF, I am starting a weekly design challenge to anyone who is interested. All the challenges will be original ideas that are not for any clients or anything specific.

It’s a good way to show our work to the entrepreneurs on here, and a good way to improve our skills, build our portfolio, and start an exchange of information on sales/marketing in design.

I will share feedback and also accept it since I will also be...

I haven't been active on this forum in quite some time. But now I have a reason to be more active. This thread will be updated on a regular basis to document my progress on building a digital marketing business from the ground up.

My goal is not only working with clients with done for you marketing services (specifically copywriting, FB ads, full sales funnels), but also providing DIY courses for other areas of marketing as well. As of this post, I'm currently working on building a DIY...

SPI 251: (In the Middle) Launching a New Course with New Entrepreneur, Sarah Argenal

I’d like you to meet Sarah Argenal, the creator of Working Parent Resource. Sarah knows all about balancing raising a family with pursuing your career, and she’s in the midst of creating and launching an online course to help working parents like herself. I’ve have the pleasure of getting to know and mentor Sarah through a series of “accountability calls” as she builds her online course, and today, we’re going to check in on her progress.

Sarah’s worked hard to validate, build, and promote her course. She’s grown her email list, surveyed her prospective customers, and created valuable course content—all while balancing a full-time job. In today’s call, she and I will walk through what’s working and what can still be improved. I’ll share my advice for tweaking her messaging, attracting future students, and taking her course to the next level.

This episode is a rare opportunity to eavesdrop on an entrepreneur mid-process. Join Sarah and me for an awesome conversation on making and marketing an online course!

Fiverr vs Upwork (oDesk / Elance)

Hi guys,

I was wondering when and why to use Fiverr vs Upwork (formerly oDesk / Elance).

Do you notice a difference in quality?

Is Fiverr good enough for quick small tasks, and would one be better off going to Upwork for a larger project?

This specifically applies for a web dev job (creating an electronics buyback website), but I'd like to hear your general experiences.

Some freelancers put $5 gigs on Fiverr which turn out to be $500 jobs, some freelancers on Upwork are medium sized...
