I'm currently listening to the Audiobok "Lifespan: Why We Age―and Why We Don't Have To" by David A. Sinclair PhD. He's talking about why we age and the current status of the science in this field. The author explains what we can do to slow aging, that aging is not a necessary consequence of living and that it can be treated, like a disease.
