Low Volume/High Margin or High Volume/Low Margin?

Just curious to hear people's thoughts and experience on:

1. Low Sales Volume with High Profit Margin
2. High Sales Volume with Low Profit Margin

• Have you had better luck with one or the other?
• Are you indifferent as long as the profits are decent?

My thoughts are that it's certainly beneficial to deal with less material handling and shipping but it's largely dependent on the product.

I can also see where it may take a bit more effort to go fastlane...
