How to free yourself from the SCRIPT while still an employee

As an employee working in a 40-hr/week job I have been observing these ways in which my management pushes people towards becoming M.O.D.E.L. (Mediocre, Obedient, Dependent, Entertained, and Lifeless) employees. I now work remotely as often as possible and make it a priority to always be the boss of me. Today it was as simple as going outside and taking a walk, bringing in my own lunch, and spending a few hours working in a guest office while listening to my own music for an hour.
