My Journey to 1,000 monthly active users

Alright guys, here it is. I'm just gonna put it all out there.

Backstory

Right before the pandemic, I moved to Venice Beach in LA and had a problem. I didn't know anyone. I had a good job, but I wasn't particularly friends with any of my coworkers. I wanted an easier way to make friends in tech outside of my work.

Idea

I had the idea to build a solution to this problem. It'd be a software application that connects people in the tech community...

Going fastlane in Legal (Lawsuits & more)?

Hi,

I'm wondering if some fastlaners are successful in Legal?

The reason I'm asking, somehow I get involved into legal action all the time. I'm not really looking for trouble but somehow it just happens. For example I got sued by an international top model once. Then this year I've successfully sued my employer (did it by myself without lawyer) and I noticed that they don't have any clue what they are doing and just hopping most people are lazy or stupid enough to take their BS...

The F.I.R.E. mindset at work

Saw this news article lauding the success of this couple

This couple retired in their 30s, live off the grid and spend $40,000 a year — CNBC

I know so many people that see this story as the ultimate in success. The headline packs a particularly hollow punch. But the best part, my absolute favorite was this image

Talk about living the dream.

I'm trying not to be so much of a naysayer, if this...

Fastlane business and a job together?

Hi Everyone,

MJ, I read your books, they are awesome..
I will be finishing my engineering this summer and will be looking for a job. I want to do a job to gain some experience, it is essential. But I am also very much interested to start my own app, because I also have some good ideas and personality to do it. My question is, has anybody pulled off such stunt before? A job plus fastlane startup (let's say 3 days a week)? If I start doing it, does anyone have tips for me? your experience? by...

Where can I design my website?

I am working on a project and I am writing a long post of text online. It is an only text design with a few photos or videos that I place in sections of the writing either with embedding or linking to a folder I am hosting.
I bought the domain, but I am unsure what the best web design service would be for me.
Should I use Wix or is there someone better to use?
My content may be seen as controversial and I am expecting DDoS attacks to occur. Is there any provider that can prevent this for...

Freight costs from China to the U.S. From $8000 to $24,000 per 40 foot container in the past month.

Hey guys. I'm sure that I'm not the only one dealing with this right now and that's why I wanted to make this thread.

In the past month I have seen the cost to ship one full container basically triple. From $8,000 to $24,000. (and of course, it was lower than $8000 not long ago)

While my margins can support this with no need to raise my price, this seems crazy to me.

I've been reaching out for quotes from a bunch of different companies and am finding no luck on getting something more...

accelerating your wealth/capital

Hey everyone, I wanted to create this thread because I had this idea myself and was curious to see if anyone else had an idea like this and wanted to contribute to this thread. Im currently 17 years old with a dream of being an entrepreneur in ecommerce and im currently working 2 jobs to start and save for my next venture. One thing needed to do this is money, after looking at the bare minimum in operating costs, research and advertisement I realized that I simply don't have enough...

Passive Real Estate Syndications

Hello, I'm a new subscriber, first time poster and just found MJ through a podcast, ordered his books and am hooked (still can't believe how I've NOT come across The Millionaire Fastlane until now but better NOW than NEVER).

I'm looking for others to connect with that have invested in passive real estate syndications (we're currently in 8 deals).

As a doctor, this investment strategy has completely changed our lives and given us options (we're mid-40s) instead of investing for 40 years in...

Starting a Private nursing business in the future

So I have been thinking of entrepreneur ideas for a while now and one that sounded interesting was starting a private in-home nursing company. How hard do you think this would be to do? The market will be booming in 3 years with the babyboomer generation getting older. I will have my RN (Registered Nurse) in one year and would probably need to get some experience, but it would be cool and maybe financially rewarding to do this in my near future. what do you guys think of this as a startup idea?

Andy's Inbound/Sales Braindump

I was asked this a while ago:

If you were to start your business from scratch, how would you approach prospecting? Given that you don't cold call. And you don't know many people in the business world to "spend your money on diesel and coffee" with. And you've already reached out to your friends and family and done some work for them.

I've been trying to gather up and arrange my thoughts. It's a bit messy but I'll keep coming back to add to this.

Feel free to add your comments and...

I had a chat with Tony who describes how:
  • One simple question got him unstuck.
  • He's only been on Quora for 30 days helping people.
  • He's only posted 29 times but is now top ranked for his subject matter.
  • His bio sends people to a survey where he asks opened ended questions (as per the Ask book by Ryan Levesque).
  • He's had 300 surveys and email addresses.
  • He's done 5 free 30 minute coaching calls.
  • One free coaching call converted on the spot to a $400 coaching...

Thoughts on the board game niche?

Hello Guys,

I am new here! I hope you could help me!

I am wondering or board game is the fast lane? :) I create board games because I like them but it's only homemade for me and my friends... Like - it's not solving any problem, just good for entertainment.
Should I focus here or do I need to think about something else? Any ideas??

Thanks a lot!

A sculptor's journey towards the Fastlane

Week 1: FOCUS

Hi everyone!
I'll be documenting my progress here. As you might know, I'm a 30-year-old sculptor from Barcelona.
I've been freelancing for five years, and although everything is going better each year, it is hardly enough to cover my minimal living expenses.

I've never done any marketing effort seriously. All the customers have been people that know me personally, or acquaintances of them.
On one hand that's good because that means my product is good enough, on the...
