YOU HAVE NO CHOICE

YOU HAVE NO CHOICE
What am I talking about? We like freedom round these parts. We choose what we want to do & when. No boss breathing down our necks. We always have options. We're not beholden to anyone.

Ah.

There it is though.

The first of the unfinished sentences we pretend is complete.

We're not beholden to anyone... else.

Once busyness & distractions & all the nonsense has stopped - even if it takes being laid up ill in bed to do it - we all eventually...

Dive in, with family

Hello everyone!
I would like some advice of those that haves experience with business and family.
I am dad of a 5yo boy and have a wife. But both haves personality of being with people and calling for attention(mostly includes being with me). But I am more the cave guy, can sit in front of computer or in workshop, and I am fine with that for a long time.

The thing what happens since we met is that my wife calls for my attention so much, and sometimes we get to big fights. It doesn't...

Recommendations for Learning Accounting Basics

Hey everyone.

A goal of 2021 is to really dial in my business finances and cashflow.

I do have an accountant for the last few years (really good) but I still feel there is a lot I should/could learn to help run a business better.

I remember at the summit @MJ DeMarco was able to give a quick look at some financials on a slideshow and spot a bunch of trends/insights right away - those are nice skills!

Does anyone have any courses/books/programs they would recommend for...

Rank and Rent SEO - thoughts and resources?

I've been really curious about "Rank and Rent" Lead-Gen lately. I've found a course on it but from what I could find online it's 6,000 F*cking dollars!

For the uninitiated:
Create a website for a local business niche eg "Louisville Locksmiths"
Rank the Site on Google
Fwd calls from the landing page to the business owner and charge them on a per lead or monthly basis. There is software that will do this and track things.
Profit -- do it again.

I'm sure I probably sound uninformed because...

The Only 3 Beliefs Holding You Back Right Now

Twice per day, I scroll through the forum. Occasionally I recognize patterns of thinking or behavior and I go through a little internal struggle: "do I respond to this question with a heartfelt response" or "should I just keep scrolling" -- I'll admit, I've been scrolling a lot more than responding lately so I figured I'd take a minute to give some unsolicited advice.

Your current results are a direct reflection of your belief systems.

That means the amount of...

Hi guys!

I am really excited today. A small win, but a win indeed.

This execution post was due last week, but I didn't want to come here with nothing.

I am proud to say, I finished my first $5 gig three days ago!

Wew...

What an accomplishment. (please dont laugh first lol)

It is for me though. The first step is always...

Dealing with a mans greatest distraction.

Distractions.

How to become a better writer?

I want to learn how to become a better writer. In fact, I think it will be one of the most useful skills for me. I don't know how to make to make my sentences sound better. I would love to hear from MJ. Do you just read, read and read and you become better writer? My sentences sound like crap and I want to know how to get started. Thanks.

See? My sentences really sound like crap.

Hello,

Has anyone read "The intelligent investor" by Benjamin Graham?
Would you recommend the book?

Quote of the Day - QOTD

I noticed MJ changed his avatar and it displays the following quote.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Friedrich Nietzsche

That's gold.

I figured a "Quote of the Day - QOTD" thread would be a good thing to start. It might...
